Partnerships
Partnerships occur between entrepreneurs that have the same profession or run businesses with similar profiles. This legal form will probably undergo major changes before the end of 2009. Consult GMW advocate for the latest development on this subject.
Partnerships, as known at present, will soon be transformed into public/open partnerships. The most significant change ensuing from this will be the liability of the partners, which will shift from equally divided liability to joint and several liability. However, a public/open partnership makes it possible to opt for the statute of a legal entity. Whilst this has no bearing on the ensuing liability of the partners, it certainly simplifies the transfer of shares.
