Watch on demand: Top 10 things to check in your Dutch employment contract webinar

In collaboration with IamExpat

Whether you know it or not, many of your rights and obligations are determined within your work contract. As an expat in the Netherlands, there is a good chance that Dutch law applies to your employment, and that means it is worth paying particular attention to a few key points.

In this online workshop, Godelijn Boonman, expat and employment law expert, presents a special session highlighting the top 10 key considerations for evaluating an employment contract.

Learn what Dutch employment law means for you as an expat, its effect in relation to contract types, vacations, holiday money, non-compete clauses, notice periods, dismissal and more.

Before you watch…

Before starting the video, we recommend you download the model employment agreement (pdf opens in new window).

During the webinar Godelijn refers to articles in this model employment agreement, so having it to hand can help you to understand the clauses that are discussed.

Godelijn is considered the employment law specialist for the international community in the Netherlands.

An expat herself, she was born and raised in Kenya, then attended school in England and then moved to the Netherlands at age 14. A lawyer for 30 years, Godelijn works mostly for international clients and is a member of the advisory board of ACCESS.

Godelijn focuses entirely on employment law, with international employment law playing an increasingly important role in her practice.
