An agency agreement is an agreement with which the agent acts on behalf of a manufacturer (the principal) in concluding agreements with the buyer of a product.

The agent enters into agreements in the name and on behalf of the principal. An agency agreement differs in this respect from a distribution agreement. Certain choices have to be made when drafting an agency agreement. That is not always easy. Good legal advice is essential in safeguarding your interests when concluding an agency agreement.
