Christiaan Mensink is one of the most experienced and specialised WHOA lawyers in the Netherlands.
Christiaan has extensive experience as a receiver in bankruptcies and administrator in moratoriums. He has built a reputation as a skilled receiver, with excellent business acumen, an understanding of figures and an eye for the interests of all parties involved. In addition, Christiaan is a skilled and sharp litigator.
With his knowledge and experience, Christiaan helps companies to restructure, in particular through the Homologation Private Agreement Act (WHOA). Through this procedure, he concludes an agreement with creditors on behalf of his client. He has the agreement ratified by the court in order to bind creditors who have not agreed to that agreement as well. In this way, Christiaan prevents companies from going bankrupt unnecessarily. Christiaan is the first lawyer in the Netherlands to successfully complete a WHOA procedure. Since then, he has been involved in 15 WHOA proceedings, as a lawyer of the entrepreneur, shareholder or creditor, and as an expert appointed by the court.
