Mechteld van Veen-Oudenaarden is a lawyer at GMW advocaten and associate partner. She specialises in insolvency law and corporate law and has many years of experience in bankruptcy and insolvency matters.
As a trustee, she is regularly appointed in bankruptcy proceedings. In addition, she advises companies on debt restructuring, debt collection, and financing and security matters. She also has extensive experience in corporate and contract law matters, including corporate governance and directors’ liability.
Mechteld is known for her no-nonsense attitude and hands-on approach. She has maintained this style since her early days as a lawyer in Rotterdam, where she specialised not only in insolvency law but also in maritime law. Mechteld quickly gets to the heart of a problem and looks for both practical and legal solutions.
