Godelijn Boonman

Godelijn Boonman started as a lawyer with the former law firm Wladimiroff and Spong. She made the transition to GMW lawyers as a partner. For over 20 years, she has focused entirely on employment law, with international employment law playing an increasingly important role in her practice.

Godelijn advises and litigates for both domestic and international companies, organisations and embassies. In addition, she acts for employees, in particular for (statutory) directors and expatriates. She is a native speaker (English). Godelijn fights for her clients and does her utmost to achieve the best possible results. She preferably reaches amicable solutions because she knows from experience that employment proceedings often don’t produce winners. She is a specialist in her field, has extensive experience, works fast in a solution orientated manner and is an excellent negotiator. Godelijn says: “A labour dispute must be resolved within a month”.

Godelijn prepares group and individual termination agreements (including those of statutory directors and top executives of [large] companies), and conducts (dismissal) proceedings for employers and employees. Further expertise consists of advising on and drafting of (international) employment contracts, Social Plans, collective labour agreements and the harmonisation of working conditions in mergers and acquisitions, advising on documentation and dysfunction as well as assisting employers during illness of employees and their reintegration.
